Cleanliness has been considered one of the important factor to judge our society’s development. The staff and students of Tagore Public School, Shastri Nagar, undertook the program of the Swachhta Pakhwada from 1 Sept’2018 to 15 Sept’2018, proposed by CBSE and Govt. of India. Swachhta Pakhwada began with the pledge of the staff and the students to keep the surrounding clean and making the environment green, healthy and suitable for the sustainability of the future generation. The school organized an inter – house , painting competition with the theme of “Clean India Green India” where the students creative and innovative ideas presented their insight. The competition was adjudged by Dr. Ruchira Solanki , CEO of the school. She appreciated the creative talents of the students and said that it is the responsibility of each and every individual to keep their surroundings clean and green. To be a part of this great drive can only transform the face of our country for ever. A team of Swachhta Monitors was appointed based on their levels of participation. They picked garbage and cleaned the area around the school and took the pledge of teaching others too to keep their surroundings clean. The Director of the Institution, Sh. P.D Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers and said that such programme should be motivated and conducted regularly for the development of the nation.
